Mandate To The Governor.com

The mandate is to have disclosure first become a local regulation, have it spread to other municipalities and evolve into an FTC (Federal Trade Commission) licensing requirement for all shop-in-home companies in America.

……………..Send In Your Story About
Contractor Fraud…..Everyone Has A Story To Tell….

The www.Mandate websites were established to collect all pertinent stories from the news media, print, television and radio on dealings with unscrupulous contractors. Consumers will have the ability to post their stories and dealings with dishonest contractors, with the ultimate goal of substantiating the necessity for disclosure to become a licensing requirement in all 50 states.

Every year we hear how crime has either gone up or down in our city. And we know a lot of money is lost on violent crimes by criminals who break into our homes. But homeowners lose more money dollar for dollar from the crimes that dishonest contractors do on a daily basis.

This is a pocketbook issue for most homeowners. Disclosure for the public will save them money, reduce aggravation on dealing with contractors when improving their homes. I believe that this issue will motivate voters to show up at the polls. Voters are always looking for something that will benefit them, and having a rule that shop-in-home companies take an integrity test before they’re licensed to come into your home to give an estimate should show the voters that our elected officials do care about their home, their block, and their neighborhood.

For most of us, the number one quality of life issue that allows our families to be good productive citizens is to have a well-maintained home and a neighborhood that we feel secure living in. Elected officials should be accountable to the community for leadership on this important issue.
